    Dave Algeo MSc

    Mindset, Resilience and Emotional Coping/ Emotional Eating Support

    After decades of ups and downs in health and weight, whilst building a career and business, I have learned that real, sustainable change and improvements in health and weight come from taking the longer, life-proof approach to our goals.
    After a career in policing and now having worked with lots of clients over the years, I have developed an approach focused on helping you turn your health around, lose weight sustainably, and feel better about yourself. You can feel more comfortable in your own skin. It really is possible and it’s is never too late.

    I aim to live a full ‘midlife and beyond’ and have cycled Lands End to John O’Groats, London To Barcelona and competed in regional Crossfit Comps.

    Martin Whitaker MSc

    Fitness, Nutrition, Strength & Performance Coach

    I’m Martin and I have a passion for the science of fitness, exercise and health. I have been coaching clients and athletes from a range of disciplines including para-olympic skiing, pole fitness, Channel swimmers and Atlantic rowers.

    I set up ‘One Take Fitness’ in Gateshead in 2012 and focused on providing small group sessions, including one of the first safe space areas for women to train.

    I have continued to focus on my professional development recently completing an MSc in Strength and Conditioning and am currently undertaking PhD research in the field of training recovery.

    I believe in helping you become the best version of yourself - however you define that - and believe that building a love of movement, fitness and strength into your life can be a powerful way to do just that.

    I provide online exercise and nutrition programmes that are designed to support your health improvements for life. I am part of a team that holds a world record for rowing on the Concept 2 Rower.’

    Frequently Asked Questions regarding the Midlife Reshape Support Programmes

    • As soon as you sign-up, Dave and Martin will connect and get you underway with an initial getting to know you’ session.

      The whole process, whatever level of support you select is intended to be friendly, supportive and tailored to you, including the pace you want to go

    • It depends on the level of support you would like to receive - get in touch if you are unsure (dave@davealgeo.com).

      We don’t apply pressure or sleazy sleazy tactics with false promises. This has to be right for you and if it’s not we can provide some helpful signposting to what else might help you.

    • Yes we can.

      But if you have the other bases covered (nutrition, exercise plan, commitment, motivation, tools to deal with obstacles and set-backs and self-sabotage) - this may be a bit overkill.

      We provide the above support and group/ community encouragement and support.

    • We will help you make the best decision for you so hopefully thi won’t be an issue, but if you decide it’s not for you or circumstances change for you, of course we will be as flexible and supportive as possible.

      You can cancel your membership at any point and a full refund is guaranteed within 14 days of signing-up (if you opt for the one-to-one coaching support - there are specific terms for this but again - ask us about those dave@davealgeo.com)

    • Dave and Martin are always on hand to support you via the membership, email, What’s App support.

      There is also a range of video and audio support to help you with specific challenges like sleep improvement, stress management and more.

    • No.

      The aim of this programme is to build solid and lasting habits and behaviours and support you to deal with emotional eating, feelings of self-sabotage and to help you when you hit an obstacle or feel like your motivation is low

      This is a long term approach aimed at getting you off the ‘diet merry-go-round’ and into lasting healthy habits that you can enjoy through midlife and beyond
