I work with leaders and executive teams to help them to explore and resolve the challenges that they face.

Let’s look at some of the challenges using the GROW coaching model (Goals, Reality, Opportunity, Will).

The goal for executive teams

Leaders or teams of c-level executives that instigate and lead transformational change also develop their own maturity and collective ability. Relationships form between team members and these relationships radiate outwards to other teams. Supportive challenge, healthy conflict and debate are embraced and seen to add value. Individual leadership behaviours, and preferences are understood and accepted, and the positive aspects of difference are harnessed and implemented for the benefit of the team and the organisation as a whole.

Leaders and executive teams also espouse the organisation’s values and role model the behaviours that underpin transformational and inclusive leadership.

The reality for executive teams

The reality for leaders and executive teams can, however, be very different. Leaders are often leading large swathes of the organisation and tensions can arise between the functional responsibility of the executive and the need for cabinet responsibility. Boardroom differences and personal agendas can emerge and remain unresolved. New generations of employees, now demand an unprecedented level of transparency in their leaders, immediacy of communication, and outward displays trust. In addition, executive development is normally focused at an individual level rather than an executive team level.

The opportunity

Through supporting and developing executive teams to explore the following types of challenges, I can create individual, team, and business level plans for delivering a thriving business.

How does the leader or the executive team create and maintain a dynamic environment for the team and the organisation as a whole?

How does the leaders in the team engage with each other and with other teams across the organisation?

How does the executive team appreciate and utilise the differences and similarities between the different personality types and preferences of executive colleagues?

What type of leader do you want to be?

Through the application of team 360º diagnostics and psychometric questionnaires, or just through facilitated dialogues and coaching I can help leaders and executive teams develop and thrive and be the best they can be

The will

Are you willing to invest in your development and the development of your executive team?

Are you willing to explore how your team can understand and appreciate the gifts that each executive brings to the team?

Do you want to embrace the diversity of each team member and create a team that can transform your organisation?
