Are you a ‘Should Thinker?’

Weekly Radish 25

Negative thinking traps - three ways to tackle them

Do you find yourself using the word ‘should’ more than you, erm, well should? See I think the word ‘should’ should be banned. At least when it comes to the expectations we place on ourselves and other and the world. Watch this week’s video and learn how to deal with your own ‘should’ thinking.

So, what do you think?

Should is a word, I regularly catch myself using, so this video is especially pertinent to me. Particularly when it comes to what I expect from myself. Only this week, I have found myself using it when working through my daily sprout and weekly radish filming schedule. I caught myself on more than a few occasions saying to myself, ‘Dave, you should be getting through these quicker,’ or ‘Dave, you should be better at this by now..’ and so on. It would be easy for me to slip into old patterns and simply beat myself up, get myself down and give up. But, I remind myself that it’s all down to what I can or can’t do, am or am not doing and will or won’t do. And what I am, can and will do opens up so much more possibilities than what I ‘should’ do.

Keep an eye out for the next blog.
