- Carry a notebook. No, it's not a prayer book, it's a notebook and you can get them in all shapes and sizes. The reason I said carry one, carry it round with you, even a small pocket sized thing, or use your phone or some sort of audio recording device to capture your thoughts as you have them. One of the challenges we have is we juggle so much in our heads, and there is nothing better than if you remember the something you need to do, a conversation you need to have, and idea that you have. You know that idea that you had that would change the world, and then you forget when you come to actually do it? If you capture it in something like a book or in an audio dictation at the time, then you've got it, and it gives your brain a rest, and it means that you can come back to it. Be safe when you do it, obviously none of this happens whilst driving or operating machinery. But just give yourself a chance to capture the things that occur to you at the time.
