Ideas and Execution- productivity hack

daily sprout 462

In today's daily sprout  I share a tip to help not just with your productivity but your focus when working on projects and tasks and when potentially working under pressure too. The temptation is to bundle all our tasks in together and, actually recognising that some involve different brain activity can be really useful in becoming more efficient and effective

Todays' daily sprout  transcript:

Ideas and execution, they are different. What we often do when we're on the hoof, when we're busy and working, is come up with the idea and work out how to do it and then do it all at once. They are separate ways of thinking. So separate them out. Spend time coming up with the ideas, capturing the ideas, writing them down when you have them and thinking about the ideas and planning. But then set specific time to execute. An idea only ever remains an idea until you execute on it. Separate them out, but don't forget executionKeep an eye out for the next blog.
