Don't Cross the Mind Streams - productivity hack
daily sprout 484
Todays' daily sprout transcript:
Don't cross the mind-streams.
One of the things that I've learned in productivity is to recognise the task types, to recognise that if you're trying to be analytical and thinking through a problem, being creative at the same time is incredibly difficult. If you're trying to just get things done and be action orientated, sometimes it's difficult to combine that with focusing on a people issue.
So separate these out and recognise that if you're focusing on a people issue, it requires your attention, your empathy, your communication skills, forget creativity, forget the action points, forget analytical. Separate your analytical from your creativity, from your people orientated things, and your admin task orientated actions.
Keep an eye out for the next blog.
