It’s episode 145. This week I am joined by fitness and nutrition expert Martin Whitaker. Martin and I have embarked on a joint venture to support clients looking to lose weight and transform their health sustainably by collaborating on the mind and body aspect. In this episode Martin introduces himself and I share with him my goal for 2025 - to lose 10 pounds and run a sub 2hr half- marathon. I run through my 'Cabbage, Slice and Sprout' plan to achieve this and he shares his own tips, ideas and thoughts.

Martin Whitaker has a passion for the science of fitness, exercise and health. he has been coaching clients and athletes from a range of disciplines including para-olympic skiing, pole fitness, Channel swimmers and Atlantic rowers. Martin set up ‘One Take Fitness’ in Gateshead in 2012 and focused on providing small group sessions, including one of the first safe space areas for women to train. Martin has continued to focus on professional development recently completing an MSc in Strength and Conditioning and is currently undertaking PhD research in the field of training recovery.
