The Power of the Mundane
This week I don't have much, if anything to report on my own journey. And maybe that in itself is worthy of note.
Perhaps the nature of taking the longer route in achieving sustainable change is likely to have a fair bit of 'nothing to report?'
Maybe the fact that it isn't full of huge action, amazing effort and big results week in week out, means that we can undervalue the slow and steady?
I know I do. I am impatient and prone to all or nothing. So, this steady away approach still feels slow and boring. And I've been at this for years and seen that it works!
So, that's it for this week, nothing to see here, move along.
I'll report in as and when there is something worthy of comment. And in the meantime, keep at the basics - the boring (yawn) basics.
My question to you is - what habits can you make boring? Make them so unworthy of remark that it takes a conscious effort to actually appreciate you do them. That is the mark of really embedding a habit don't you think? After all, I never talk about my teeth cleaning routine. Do you?
