It's not being brave
daily sprout 499
daily sprout transcript (focusing on why we actually move to positive action when the pain of not changing is too great):
It's not being brave. When I was working as a police officer full time shift and running my business, and striving to leave the place in order to fulfil my dreams and go for what I wanted, people would come up to me and say, ah Dave, you're so brave for wanting go do that, for wanting to leave this job, for wanting to pursue your dreams. And do you know what? I never saw it as brave. I saw it as, I had no option. Because the risks and the pain that might I might encounter in following my dreams, were so dwarfed by the pain and the discomfort and the dissatisfaction of doing something that I just didn't want to do. And I think this is the point of the daily sprout. You may only be motivated when the pain of staying the same, of enduring, becomes greater than the pain of overcoming your fear, confronting your fears and taking that action. That might be the time when you change. I hope it isn't, but if it is, take heart, because that is the time that will lead to a huge shift in your life to the positive.
Keep an eye out for the next blog.
